Biography

Amin received his JD and LLM from Emory University School of Law, with a focus on constitutional law, appellate litigation, and law and religion issues. While pursuing his Masters and delaying the bar exam, Amin clerked for Justice Hanan Melcer of the Supreme Court of Israel in Jerusalem, working on comparative and international law issues. Prior to law school, Amin obtained his BA in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.

Following law school, Amin was the Litigation Coordinator for the Restoring Religious Freedom Project at Emory Law. Beginning in March 2020, Amin worked as an Assistant Public Defender with the City of Atlanta Public Defender’s Office, working both in the courtroom and on appeals cases. Much of this work involved representing indigent clients, clients experiencing homelessness, and other people throughout the Atlanta community. Since coming to Kaplan Legal Services, Amin has represented all manner of clients in every manner and stage of litigation, achieving effective results in even the toughest of cases.
